Ask questions
Straight answers about EBOO, safety, cost and booking. For anything about your own health, the clinic's physician is the right person to ask.
About EBOO
What is EBOO?
EBOO stands for Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation. Blood flows out of one arm through a sterile filter, where oxygen and a controlled dose of ozone are applied, and returns through the other arm.
Is EBOO FDA-approved?
No. EBOO is not FDA-approved to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and published research on it is limited. A licensed physician at each clinic decides whether to offer it to you.
Where can I read the research?
We link to published studies on PubMed rather than summarizing them. You can search them yourself from the What is EBOO? page.
Safety
Who should not have EBOO?
People with G6PD deficiency or who are pregnant are not eligible. Bleeding disorders, a recent heart attack or stroke, and an uncontrolled overactive thyroid need a physician's clearance. The clinic's physician makes the final decision.
What might I feel afterwards?
Some people feel tired or light-headed for a few hours, and bruising where the IV lines were placed is common. Contact the clinic if anything worries you, or call 911 in an emergency.
Cost and insurance
How much does EBOO cost?
Each clinic sets its own price and gives it to you in writing before you book. The consultation request on BookEBOO is free.
Does insurance cover EBOO?
EBOO is generally paid for directly by the patient. Ask the clinic before you book.
Booking
What happens after I request a consultation?
The care team at the partner clinic serving your ZIP code calls you to answer questions and explain pricing. Requesting a consultation does not book treatment.
How do you choose which clinic contacts me?
Each partner clinic covers its own area, and we send your request to the clinic that covers your ZIP code. We do not rank or recommend clinics.
Who decides if EBOO is right for me?
A licensed physician at the clinic, after reviewing your health history on the clinic's own intake form. BookEBOO does not make medical decisions.
Your account and privacy
Do I need an account?
No. You can request a consultation as a guest. An account lets you see the status of your requests and update your contact details.
What information do you ask for?
Only how to reach you and your ZIP code. We never ask about your health on BookEBOO. Health questions are handled by the clinic.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Privacy in your account to download your data or delete your account.
